How to Reduce Stubborn Fat

The phenomenon that is water retention, medically known as edema, can be caused by many different factors… excess dietary sodium, heart or kidney disease or even just normal shifts in body fluid. And is basically the swelling of the soft tissues of the body, due to the accumulation of water in those areas and can therefore be responsible for ‘weight gain’ or the hiding of those lovely abs of yours.

Many of you may be hesitant to start a weight training program, but the benefits far outweigh any reservation you may have. Weight training enhances your fat loss by increasing your muscle mass and more muscle means more calories burned (faster metabolism). It also it gives your skin a more tone, tight appearance, lowers your blood pressure, strengthens your bones, improves your agility, increases your flexibility, strengthens your immune system and gives you more energy and a brighter outlook on life.

The best way to slim down in the middle is to do plenty of cardiovascular exercise. Some good examples of this are walking, jogging, swimming, aerobics, bicycling and high-activity sports like racquetball, tennis and basketball. Anything that brings your heart rate to its training zone and keeps it there for at least twenty minutes conditions your heart and burns fat. As you lose subcutaneous fat, your skin will become more taut. As the fat within your muscles decreases, you will appear more toned and less flabby. The number one thing you need to think about is the cardio. Five times a week.

A big part of the problem is that many people BELIEVE in stubborn fat so much that they literally manifest more of it! I don’t know everything about everything... heck, I’m just a “muscle head” from New Jersey… but one thing I am 100% certain about is that if you walk around all day long complaining, "I can’t get rid of this stubborn fat!", well, my friend, you aint gettin’ rid of the fat! No person ever became successful by thinking about failure all day long.

If you want to get rid of the fat around your midsection, start with utilizing stress-reduction techniques. This includes forms of deep breathing, meditation and exercise. Learning to manage the stressors that trigger the hormone changes can play a large role in controlling your weight.

Exercise is not only a stress reliever, it builds muscle, gets rid of fat and helps tone your body. Performing exercises that strengthen your core will have a direct effect on the reduction of belly fat.

You need to cut down on calories, but not just calories. You need to change your diet completely to include more healthy, natural foods. There are many diets available on the internet. Consulting with your doctor and/or a nutritionist can assist you in finding the right diet for you.

Abdominal toning is an important aspect of whole body toning. The middle core is attracting lot of attention and rightly so. The awesome and chiseled abdominal area is a dream of all fitness lovers. Now is the time to melt all that ugly flab and burn the fat from the belly to reveal true six pack abs and tight chiseled stomach waiting to be discovered. If you want chiseled abs, a flat stomach and no more love handles, then follow the correct healthy lifestyle that comprise of healthy eating and regular exercise.
