Lose Body Fat At An Alarming Rate With Interval Training

Want to get as lean as you desire? Then you need a better approach to aerobic exercise. What is typically prescribed is steady state cardio at a low to medium intensity level for 30-40 minutes. Very few people have the ability to burn off stubborn body fat using this widely recommended approach. If you want to burn body fat like crazy, you need to introduce interval training into your workout routine.

Interval Training Burns a Massive Amount of Calories in a Short Time

Interval Training is tough work which burns more total calories than traditional cardio. A very basic approach to losing weight is to burn more calories than what you consume in a day. An intense session of Interval Training will raise your metabolism for a few hours after the workout. The total calories burned will be much greater than if a more moderate form of cardio was used.

I have used different variations of this basic interval training workout for 6 years. This allows me to have six pack abs year round. It works very well!

1) Find a solid treadmill, elliptical machine, or exercise bike

2) For your first 1 and 1/2 minutes you will walk at a moderate pace

3) Jog or peddle fast for 30 seconds (set the resistance higher)

4) After 30 seconds back down to the slower pace you began at. Keep it at that level for one-and-a-half minutes like before

5) Jog or peddle fast for 30 seconds (higher speed/resistance than the first time)

6) Repeat this for 20-30 minutes

Please Note: You are going to want to make it so it will be hard to complete your last 30 seconds of intense effort. If you find that you aren't completely breathing hard and sweating, then you need to go for another few rounds. If you do everything properly your skin should be hot, you should be sweating, and breathing hard. This is an indicator that your natural fat burning hormone, HGH, will be released. This is what will really burn off the stubborn body fat like crazy. You are going to love the results you get from interval training.
