If you are thinking of relocating 50 miles or more from your present location, you have to consider a lot of factors before making the move. You must know the nature of the job market, the quality of schools and the crime rate of the area.

These and a host of other questions must be addressed with housing costs playing a major role in the decision-making process. It is a fact that the average housing costs in most major cities is significantly above the national average. This makes finding a place to live near your anticipated work quite difficult.

Given all these factors, Indianapolis stands out as a great place to relocate to. Housing costs in Indianapolis are very reasonable and in line with national averages. Another great thing about Indianapolis is the surprisingly light traffic except during rush hour. Indianapolis has many alternate routes into the city other than the Interstates. So, it’s relatively easy to get in and out of Indy once you become familiar with the area. Even if you have to commute 20 miles daily you can do it in 30-35 minutes.

Indianapolis is not just about educational and economic growth opportunities. This city is also alive with recreational amenities like basketball and football sports complexes. It is a great place to hang out, meet people and provides all that you would need to enjoy life and have a rollicking time.
