Tips For Finding College Apartments In Wahpeton, N.d.

College students have specific requirements when looking for that next great apartment, and finding that place always takes some time because it's an important decision. We are providing college students with these tips to keep in mind while searching for an apartment in Wahpeton, N.D.

1. Get help from a local property manager.

2. Look at more than one unit.
Compare amenities between at least two apartments. That way you can weigh the positives and negatives against each other such as price, layouts and location. Some apartments will make more sense for you than others as far as distance from campus, storage space and rent. You probably want to be able to walk to class and it's nice to live near parks and stores. You'll find that nearly all our buildings are close to the North Dakota State College of Science, such as our 1307, 1309 and 1311 11th. St. N. apartments just west of campus, our 1621 and 1631 Eighth St. N. apartments north of campus or our 621 Third. Ave. N. apartments located five blocks south of campus.

3. Know what you are willing to pay for rent.
Write out a budget, including what you are able or willing to spend on rent and then remember that budget when you look at apartments. If you are going to live with other people, then everyone should agree on the rent cost. Remember that even if you spend just $100 more than planned per month on rent you might have other costs such as a deposit and other fees such as utilities and cable. 4. Bring your future roommates along when you go apartment hunting.
One person shouldn't do all the work or make all the decisions. Include all your roommates when you are choosing your new apartment. Then everyone can voice his or her opinion about the location, amenities and layout. Plus, sometimes it's easy to overlook something that someone else might notice, ask about or remember.

5. Plan ahead.
If you'd like to live in the same apartment during the summer or during the following school year or even after you graduate, that is possible because our apartments offer one-year leases that can be renewed annually.

6. Consider safety.
Your safety is important to us. That is why all our apartments have a 24-hour emergency service. Background checks are done on all residents in most of our units and our 1457 and 1458 11th. St. N. apartments have a controlled access to the building.
