    In this day and age most of us are so busy with our jobs, taking care of the house and children, that we do not get time to take good care of our elders when they are ill. For this reason we usually feel that the best place for them is the nursing home. Nursing home staff being trained and skilled for people suffering from ailments, give special attention to their patients. The staff and the doctors are exceptionally good at taking care and curing their patients. They also create a resident like environment, making it comfortable for the people staying there in the duration of illness. They try to make it similar to home care, so that the patients do not feel out of place or awkward. We have a lot of faith in nursing homes for our near and dear ones there, and it is their duty to live up to our expectations. However, we also hear of appalling stories of abuse in nursing homes along with abominablly bad service meted out to patients.
